Flip Camcorder From Cisco Business Collapse

Flip video camera is a camcorder products are quite popular, especially in the United States. But suddenly, the Cisco Systems as the manufacturer decided to close Flip division.

John Chambers, Cisco CEO, ensure the cessation of production Flip. This step is considered a surprise because this little gadget is actually still be a camcorder with the most sales of products in the U.S. last year.

Flip Cisco acquired in 2009 for USD 590 million, with the aim of strengthening the business in the consumer segment. But now they decided to close the division. Presumably, Cisco wanted to re-focus target corporate market only.

Cisco spokeswoman, Karen Tillman did not give a reason why Cisco did not immediately close it and sell it to another party. Closure Flip division makes about 550 people will lose jobs.

Wednesday (13/04/2011), Cisco said it will 'clean up' Flip stocks that still exist today. Many regretted the decision of Cisco, some of whom also vent via Twitter.
